Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Architectural Designer to join our team. This entry-level, full-time position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, ideal for someone eager to grow within a small, close-knit team. The successful candidate will play a key role in various projects, collaborating with clients and team members to create exceptional architectural designs.

Responsibilities:​

  • Conduct client meetings to understand project requirements and expectations.

  • Perform on-site measurements and assessments for project planning.

  • Draft detailed floor plans and architectural drawings using CAD tools.

  • Manage and coordinate the permitting process with relevant city authorities.

  • Assist in preparing and submitting applications for building and other permits.

  • Contribute to various operational tasks in a small office environment.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and participate in project discussions.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and design standards.

  • Participate in continuous learning and development related to architectural design and tools.

  • Contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.

 

Requirements:​

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.

  • A minimum of one year of professional experience in a relevant architectural or design role.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, and LayOut for SketchUp.

  • Familiarity with AI usage, including practical knowledge of tools like ChatGPT, and an understanding of how AI can be leveraged in architectural design and operations.

  • Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes.

  • Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and software.

  • A positive, proactive, can-do attitude, with a genuine desire to be part of a small, growing team.

  • Strong team player with a commitment to contributing to team success.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
